Our celebration and fundraising dinner in April was a big success. 95 people enjoyed a wonderful meal, participated in the baking and bacon raffle, played a trivia game, and won some lovely door prizes. The highlight was our speaker Laura from Shelters International speaking about her recent trip near the war zone in Ukraine, distributing soup mix to hungry locals. I was struck by her comment that seniors were helping seniors (the majority of people left in Ukraine). Funds were raised for Okanagan Gleaners operations and our completed storage facility.
